Isoxazoline and Isoxazole rings #Ngozi

Realised at the weekend that 3,5-diphenylisoxazole, which we looked at the SDS for (Sigma) and which we thought was 3,5-diphenlisoxazoline, are not the same. The former has two double bonds in the 5-membered ring, whereas the latter has one double bond. The 3,5-diphenylisoxazole can be made from the alkyne equivalent of styrene, which is also available cheaply from Sigma. Maybe we could try to make these using the same method? This would open up another group of heterocycles for the literature search of pharmaceutically relevant drugs: isoxazole and isoxazoline. Also need to consider what the 'iso' refs to.
