Which of the following questions have answers reported in the literature (probably most, in which case we need to find the articles) and which do not (novelty areas, possible publications etc):
1. What do the delta, delta squared and lamba symbols mean, and what do they mean specifically for isoxazoline syntheses?
2. When benzaldoxime reactions with styrene, one might think 4 possible isomers may result. It seems that only the 3,5-diphenyl product is produced, but to what extent is the 3,4-diphenyl product formed? And how could we (conveniently) determine? And if the 3,5-diphenyl product is the only product, then there could be 2 isomers (optical isomers) here. What are there names, paying into consideration their stereochemistry, and is one isomer preferred, and how does this be determined experimentally?
3. Does the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition results in a certain preference of stereo isomers produced? Why? How is this known? NMR or HPLC etc?
4. What happens with trans-stilbene, cis-stilbene, alpha-methylstyrene and beta-methylstyrene when they react with benzaldoxime? Do these reactions and comments on the products appear in the literature? Any novelty?
There are many other questions, but I think this will do..... :)
